The topic of today is “Why hydrogen in Africa?”. The general specifics of hydrogen have been presented in the previous sessions. And so today I will first go into green hydrogen opportunities for African countries and the advantages specific to the African context. From there I will provide insights into setting up a local hydrogen economy in African countries and what that might look like. And this session will finish off with some opportunities and considerations for collaboration between the African and European Unions.

  • On the bottom left (where you are reading this text) each chapter contains a list of sources and further reading to dive even deeper into the material. This is not part of the final exam.
  • on the bottom right each chapter contains an exercise that is optional, but help you further internalise the lessons."
